This Privacy Policy explains how Spikers ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Spikers mobile application (the "App"), operated for the Jerusalem Spikers Volleyball Club. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what is needed to run the club's membership, scheduling, and attendance features.

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (operating your club membership and the App), consent (camera/photos access and push notifications, which you can withdraw at any time), and legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, and improving the service).

We use Google's Firebase platform to run the App. These services may process your data on our behalf as data processors:

Google's handling of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

6. Data sharing & visibility

Within the App, your name, profile photo, role, gender, and attendance count are visible to other verified club members and coaches (for example, in player lists and leaderboards). Your email, date of birth, height, weight, and membership/payment details are visible only to you and to club coaches/administrators. We do not share your personal data with third parties except the service providers listed in Section 5 or where required by law.

7. Data retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active. Accounts that are never email-verified are automatically deleted shortly after registration. When your account is deleted, your personal data is removed from our active systems; backups and legally required records may be retained for a limited period before being erased.

8. Your rights & account deletion

You may access, correct, or delete your personal data, or request a copy of it, at any time. You can update most profile details directly in the App.

Deleting your account. You can permanently delete your own account and its associated personal data from within the App, on the Profile tab via the Delete my account option. Deletion is immediate and irreversible: it removes your profile, photo, membership and attendance records, and session sign-ups from our active systems. If you prefer, you can also request deletion by emailing us at mhamadadmare11@gmail.com from your registered email address. Backups and any legally required records are erased within a limited period thereafter.

Depending on your location, you may also have rights under the GDPR or other laws, including the right to object to or restrict processing and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

9. Children's privacy

The App is intended for the members of the Jerusalem Spikers Volleyball Club. Where club members are minors under the age of consent in their country, an account must be created and managed with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts this Privacy Policy on the minor's behalf. If you believe a child has provided us personal data without appropriate consent, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We protect your data using industry-standard measures, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), Firebase server-side security rules, Firebase App Check, and secure on-device storage of credentials. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information against unauthorized access.

11. International transfers

Our providers may process and store data on servers located outside your country, including in the European Union and the United States. Where required, such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes may also be communicated in the App.
